Environment Education Programme (EEP)
The Environment Education Programme (EEP) is an initiative of the Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change (MoEFCC), Government of India, aimed at promoting environmental awareness, sustainable practices, and responsible environmental behaviour among school students. The programme adopts a structured and experiential learning approach to strengthen students’ understanding of environmental issues and conservation measures. EEP focuses on integrating classroom learning with field-based activities to enable students to gain practical exposure to biodiversity, ecosystems, climate change, and sustainable resource management.
